- Harvested by women's self-help groups utilizing a natural waste product and reduce the risk of forest fires
- Jute is sourced from the jute field in the rivers running into the Bay of Bengal
- Hemp is sourced from the mountain range areas of Uttrakhand
Production
- Hand-made by women and low-income people in the foothills of the Himalayas
- Bheemal is hand-weaved into mats and curtains and other products with a padding
- Nettle is hand-weaved into a fabric to use for various home interior products
- Hemp is hand-weaved into a fabric and tailored into products
- Jute is stitched into shopping bags, file folders and other utility products
